The first group of Zambia's women's wheelchair basketball team is in Ghana for the African Paralympic Games commencing on September 3rd, 2023. This initial contingent, consisting of seven players, embarked on their journey via Qatar Airways at 15:00hrs yesterday. The remaining four players are scheduled to depart on September 4th, 2023. Zambia is assigned to Pool A, competing against Kenya, Algeria, and Nigeria. Their opening match against Algeria is set for September 5th. In the days to come, the Zambian women's wheelchair basketball team will not only aim for victory but also inspire generations with their courage and tenacity. Their journey is a testament to the belief that no obstacle is insurmountable, and dreams can indeed become a reality. Remarkably, this marks the Zambian women's wheelchair basketball team's debut appearance at the African Paralympic Games.
