Racheal Kundananji, a female football player from Zambia, was honored by OYDC Zambia on Wednesday morning at the sports complex to officially establish her auspicious foundation, the "Racheal Kundananji Legacy Foundation." Witnessing this massive event were a number of stakeholders from UNAIDS, NOWSPAR, Magnum Security, ZAMWIL, FAZ, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, and National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ). Acting Chief Executive Officer of OYDC Zambia, Benjamin Tembo, said during the launch that he was thrilled that the Racheal Kundananji Legacy Foundation was being launched at the multisports facility. He believes that this will inspire more young, aspiring football players by showcasing the Bay FC player. According to Tembo, OYDC Zambia will keep collaborating with organizations such as the Racheal Kundananji Legacy Foundation in order to support grassroots sports development. Kangwa Chileshe, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youth, Sport, and Arts, graced the event on behalf of Minister Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP. He urged others to follow in her footsteps and said the government supports efforts like the establishment of the Racheal Kundananji Legacy Foundation. Meanwhile, Racheal Kundananji gave a touching statement about how she rose to prominence as a female football star around the world. She said that many children and others will benefit from her organization.
