Zanaco ladies football club has written to The Elite Ladies FC to officially request permission to enter into negotiations for the outright purchase of Paulina Chisomo Sepiso Zulu and Comfort Selemani, effective immediately. This is the second attempt in two weeks, after Green Buffaloes Women's Football Club's request to begin negotiations for the acquisition of the duo as well as Esther Chitete Munsaka, aka The Screen Protector, on one-year loans. The Elite ladies took to their social media platform and stated "As previously suggested, Selemani and Zulu, like the rest of the Elite Ladies FC players, are available for purchase at the right price and following the proper method. This means that, in addition to other expected approaches, Elite Ladies FC will formally negotiate with Green Buffaloes Women's Club and ZANACO Ladies FC about potential transactions, with a decision due by June 15th, 2024." However, the Elite ladies have stated a willingness to invest in the team, strengthen their squad, and become even more competitive in order to fight for the Women's Super League crown next season. The club's communications officer commented, "We want to have the strongest possible squad while remaining financially sustainable." "Details will come with time."
