The wait is finally over! The MTN Super League 2024/2025 table has been announced, and the season is set to commence on August 17th. Fans can expect a thrilling ride filled with unpredictable outcomes, new faces, and fresh talent. One of the most anticipated match-ups is between Atletico Lusaka, a new team in the top-tier league, and the Copperbelt-based Forest Rangers. Atletico, known for their exceptional style of football, will aim to make a statement in their debut season. Forest Rangers, on the other hand, will look to bounce back from a struggling 2023–2024 season, which almost saw them relegated. Another newcomer to the league is Indeni, who finished 4th in the National Division One league with an impressive 54 points. They will face off against The Bankers Zanaco, who made national headlines after suffering a record-breaking 4-0 loss and receiving an astonishing 45 touches against Mighty Mufurila. National Division League champions Nchanga Rangers will clash with giant killers F.C. Muza, while Lumwana Radiants travel to Nkana Stadium to take on the Kalampa boys, also known as Nkana Football Club. Nchanga Rangers dominated the National Division One league, finishing second with 68 points, just one point ahead of runners-up Lumwana, who finished with 67 points. The league will also kick off with a highly anticipated military derby between the Red Arrows, the 2023–2024 MTN Super League and 2024 ABSA Cup winners, and the Green Buffaloes. Mufurila Wanderers will host Power Dynamos, while the Green Eagles will face off against the Kabwe Warriors, the 2024 ABSA Cup finalists. Rounding out the opening fixtures, Nkwazi FC will take on Mutondo Stars FC. The team that makes the most mistakes will risk elimination from the league, while the top performers will fight for supremacy at the top of the table.
