The DK Stadium is set to come alive as it hosts all quarter finals of the biggest individual tournament to be ever hosted the K700,000 Eastern Province Fashion Sakala Jr Cup Tournament. The excitement begins on Saturday, 8th June 2024, with a doubleheader featuring some of the top teams in the region. In the first match, Petauke United will take on Mugaba Red Lions at 13:00hrs, followed by a much-anticipated clash between Mika FC and Imena Golden Stars at 15:00hrs. Both teams will be looking to secure a spot in the semi-finals and take a step closer to lifting the coveted trophy. The action continues on Sunday, 9th June 2024, with another exciting doubleheader. Kafunkha United will face off against Young Mfuwe Resource Centre at 13:00hrs, while division one side Young Nkwazi will battle it out against FM Travellers at 15:00hrs. According to Tournament Organizing Committee (TOC) Secretary Alex Chota, fuel will be provided to all travelling teams to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience. However, Chota has warned teams to observe time, as late arrival on match day will not be condoned. In a related development, Provincial FAZ Vice Chairperson Patrick Nyirenda revealed that tickets for the quarter finals, semi-finals, and grand finale are now on sale at all ShopRite outlets countrywide.
