The drama unfolded as early as the first half, with Ghana's Mohammed Kudus striking a blow in stoppage time to put Ghana in the lead after Egypt's captain, Mohamed Salah, was forced off the field due to injury. Despite this, the Pharaohs displayed commendable resilience and equalized in the 69th minute through Omar Marmoush, only for West Ham's Kudus to swiftly restore Ghana's lead just 141 seconds later. However, Mostafa Mohamed's decisive goal moments later secured a valuable point for Egypt, leaving Ghana without a win in their first two Group B matches.
