The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Lusaka Province has announced a delay in the resumption of the Lusaka Province Men's Division 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Women's Division 1 and 2 football leagues due to the cholera outbreak. Provincial General Secretary Samantha Ngoma emphasized the safety of players as a top priority. Consequently, the league, initially scheduled to resume on the 14th of January 2024, will now kick off on the 3rd of February 2024. In the wake of this announcement, affiliated clubs are urged to take note of the shift in dates and ensure that players are well-informed about the new schedule. Ngoma said the decision to postpone the league is a precautionary measure to curb the spread of cholera and prioritize the health of everyone involved.
