The Zambia National Team's preparations for the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have received a significant boost as Gift Mphande, Lameck Banda, and Frankie Musonda joined the squad in Taif. Mphande, who currently plays in Israel, touched down earlier in the day, while Banda (from Lecce) and Musonda (representing AYR United) joined the squad at 13:00 hours (local time) in Taif. With the arrival of these players, Avram Grant now has a complete 27-member squad ready for their first training session in Saudi Arabia, gearing up for an international friendly against Cameroon on January 9 as part of their AFCON preparations. In Group F alongside Morocco, Tanzania, and Congo DR, the Chipolopolo kick off their AFCON journey on January 17 against Congo DR, followed by matches against Tanzania and Morocco on January 21 and 24, respectively.
