After Francis Mwansa's performance against Congo Brazzaville, fans went into debates as to why coach Avram Grant started him over Lawrence Mulenga in such a crucial game. In a press briefing leading to the game against Congo Brazzaville, coach Avram Grant mentioned that one of the things he considers when choosing players is how much game time they get at club level, which in turn raised concern given that Francis has not been starting for his club,Green Buffaloes Football Club. Lawrence on the other hand put a solid performance against Nkana in the Kitwe Derby and is a starter at Power Dynamos but Grant said all three goalkeepers are doing well and he wondered why Francis has not been a starter at his club. Francis conceded two goals in two minutes but some have argued that he couldn't have done much to save them while others are saying he should have positioned himself better.Fans have also said the defenders were equally at fault as they did not give the keeper the necessary protection. Grant has however continued to back the youngster, emphasizing that he is young and has been doing a good job. Should the coach listen to the fans and start Lawrence Mulenga or give Francis another chance?
